Hecla and energy
HECLA has been actively engaged in the conference on June 29th, which was jointly organized by the French Senate’s friendship group between France and Northern Europe, the Icelandic Embassy in Paris and the French-Icelandic Chamber of Commerce. The Icelandic know-how which fuels a dynamic energy sector has become renowned and is solicited more and more by a world increasingly sensitive and environmental issues as well explained by His Excellency M.Embassador of Iceland in France Tomas Ingi Olrich. And what a very symbolic sign of Icelandic-French synergy in energy world through HECLA !

HECLA supported the French festival in Iceland, entitled Pourquoi pas ? inspired by the name of the famous Professor Charcot's boat which sank near the Icelandic coasts in September, 1936. This event took place from February 22nd till May 13th, 2007 in Reykjavik and in surrounding cities.
